These words are the death knell of all that is good and decent in the world. They are quite possibly the harbingers of the apocalypse.<br /><br />Having been dragged to see this travesty at the ridiculous cost of $25 (two tickets) I feel like I have just paid a large man to punch me in the head over and over again for almost 3 hours. Some people might be into that sort of thing, but at least there should be some kind of warning before you walk in so that you know what you are getting into. Maybe something like “Danger: Rectal surgery and root canal are less painful than watching this movie. If you enjoy either of those two activities you are going to LOVE this.”<br /><br />What’s worse is that there are millions of little internet idiots out there commenting on this movie and calling people who didn’t like it morons. That the plot is subtle and complex and that watching the movie a few more times will help you understand it. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!<br /><br />Definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.<br /><br />People get so attached to a director or an actor or defensive about something that they themselves have recommended that they will die proclaiming its great quality rather than admit how bad it really is.<br /><br />When one calls something great when it is really bad, they are watering down all of the other things that have been called great accurately. It’s the tactic of Ellsworth Toohey in the Fountainhead. Soon enough the definitions of value break down and people need to be told what is good and what is bad rather than thinking for themselves. This explains the mindless mindlessness we see from the creators of Miami Vice and its supporters.<br /><br />All of these people will be up against the wall come the revolution. Part of that realization is that there are just some people out there that the world could live without. By posting this I am in no way advocating their violent removal from the planet.
